Project components

First: Study and design of a heavy water treatment plant with a transmission line for heavy water from Al-Azizah district to the treatment plant and lifting stations, in addition to studying and designing the transmission line for treated water from the station to the Tigris River, where the study and design included also all civil, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical works with the preparation of quantity tables for these works

Second: Establish a transmission line for heavy water with a length exceeding 14,000 m.t and with different diameters ranging from 600 mm to 1200 mm

Third: Establish all civil works for the treatment plant starting from the station Entry to the final lifting station to the river

Fourth: Preparing and installing all works Mechanical and in cooperation with the Italian company

The goal of the project
The Aziziyah treatment plant project is located in the Aziziyah district, approximately 150 km south of the capital Baghdad. The project includes the implementation of a main sewage pipeline with diameters of 1200 mm, 1000 mm, G.R.P type, and 600 mm, U.P.V.C type, with a total length of 14 km extending from the center of the Aziziyah district to the treatment plant, in addition to two pumping stations and a main sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 21,000 m3/day. The treatment plant occupies an area of ​​500 x 250 m = 125,000 m2 and the project capacity is 2188 m3/hour. The project serves the residents of the Aziziyah district, whose number is 47,000. From 2013 to 2038, i.e. for 25 years from the date of completion, until the population of Aziziyah reaches 85,000 people, taking into account a population growth rate of 3% per year. The project was supervised by the Engineering Consulting Office of the College of Engineering / University of Wasit. The project was designed in cooperation with the staff of our company, the Italian company Cereco, and the Design Department of the General Directorate of Sewerage.
